Hi, I'm Rodney Hatley!
Rod Hatley, founder of Hatley Law Group APC, became an estate planning attorney after experiencing a difficult seven year probate process following his father’s passing.
Motivated to help families avoid the costs, delays, and stress of probate, he shifted from a successful legal career in litigation and the U.S. Navy JAG Corps into estate planning and tax law.
Rod earned his LL.M. in Taxation from the University of San Diego School of Law and now focuses on estate planning, trusts, and probate law.
Licensed in both California and Tennessee, he is dedicated to helping families protect their wealth and legacy. Outside of work, Rod enjoys scuba diving, snorkeling, surfing, and volunteering in the San Diego community.
